I have seen some bad CAPTAIN AMERICAs, one was the Columbia Pictures serial where he was an FBI agent, and the TV series with Reb Brown, but the worse had to be the last movie that some good backstory, but the first annoying thing was Captain America throwing his shield like a big frisbee.
I'm still not sure Chris Evans, but I am excited about Hugo Weaving as Red Skull. So maybe it will balance things out! Whats your thought on the situation, Ollie?
DEPENDS ON THE COSTUME!
Well we also have to think about the story, theme, screenwriting, direction, and of course, the acting. If all of those meantioned are at their best, then I wouldn't mind if Captain American's costume was all blue with a white star on him chest.
After seeing Push I thought he cold be a good Capt. Then I saw Sunshine and thought he really could act. Hes got the look, and can act. The only problem I see is his voice, he might need to deepen it to shout out orders to the troops. Plus hes a lot better than most to all the rumors, the guy from Supernatural would have been good, but hes defiantly better than Leonardo DiCaprio!!
It seems an odd choice because my image if the character is very different from Chris Evans and I haven't really seen him in any really big or serious roles. But who knows, maybe it will work.
Woot first hit. Anyways... I really gotta see what he can do. I saw him in Sunshine, so I instantly have more respect for him from that, but really I think he can do it. My only what-the beef is now theres a universal conflict between him as Johnny Storm and now Steve Rogers...
